The pond is somewhat of a triangle - approximately 125' on each side. 8'-10' deep. It has a healthy population of sunnies, bass, and mosquito fish. We often see painted turtles sunning themselves on a log.

Upstairs hallway

This photo was taken from the master bedroom doorway. To the right is the master bath. Straight ahead is the door leading out into a small fenced area where the birds know they can count on a meal. There is a coat closet at the end of the hall on the right. Turning left by the door, you'll go downstairs.

a BIG fish!

Our youngest son pulled this fish out of the large pond last week! All the boys were very excited and after getting a few pictures, they put it back in.

The heat lamps have been a real luxury! :) There are two different built-in shelves by the tub that make it easy to keep towels and other bath items neat and organized.

This bedroom has a very nice sized closet. There are built in bookshelves on the right.

There are two more windows to the right that are not visible in this picture - 6 windows in this room.

This bathroom also has a large linen closet as well as the cabinets you can see to the right of the tub/shower. To the left of the tub is another closet. There is a very nice dresser which was converted to a vanity with a large mirror and lights.

Downstairs...

The downstairs kitchen. Lots of storage and cabinet space!


Wonderful open area...we use it as a school room. There is so much light shining in those windows although there are blinds if you want a little less. Tile floor. Plenty of space for couches, a table and chairs. There is another wood stove in this room in addition to the forced air wood furnace in the utility room. Straight ahead in the picture is the bedroom. Behind where I was standing to take the photo is a wall of bookcases. To the right is the double, full-pane doors that lead out into the herb garden and to the fish pond. This really is a lovely area. This downstairs has been used as a separate apartment.

Blogger is having some trouble uploading my pictures so that's all for tonight. I'll get more up tomorrow evening. We still have the bedroom and bathroom down here. Utility room too.

Chicken coop, dovecote and flight cage

There is water and electric inside. Sure makes chicken chores easier! The lower end of the house has chicken wire along the back for good air circulation. There is a door leading from the nesting box area into the flight cage with a nice little walkway for the chickens. :)

The house is behind where I was standing when I took the photo. Barn is to the right. Do you see the orange cattle gate off in the distance by the far treeline? That is the entrance to the 80'x100' garden.
